A Boca Raton, Florida, law firm on Thursday filed a class action against the People’s Republic of China, seeking “billions” over coronavirus, according to several media outlets.
Specifically, the Berman Law Group is alleging that the Chinese government “covered up” the dangers of coronavirus and that it knew that COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, was “dangerous and capable of causing a pandemic, yet slowly acted, proverbially put their head in the sand, and/or covered it up for their own economic self-interest,” reads the complaint, which names five plaintiffs from Florida.
